Our chassis’s are extremely lightweight and strong through
design. We use only the highest quality materials available
and our craftsmanship is second to none.
Hotrails Sandcars have a lower, sleeker stance than many
of the cars on the market, which give the car its great handling
characteristics. This also avoids the high center of gravity many
long travel cars incur. The setup of the suspension allows generous
amounts of travel, while maintaining 4+ inches of ground clearance
when fully compressed.
Hotrail’s sandcars handle like a sports car compared to the SUVfeel of
most of the 4/5 seater cars on the sand today. The 2 seat mid-engine configuration keeps the weight further forward in the chassis, letting the driver use the full potential of his drive-train. Unlike most 4/5 seat cars, Hotrails sandcars steering is quick and precise, without the use of turning brakes. And when the throttle is pegged, our cars won’t wheelie uncontrollably like many
of their rear engined relatives. (They will wheel-stand when desired though!)
